Shipment visibility by WeTRACK

Hear about the delay before it turns into a demurrage bill.

Most delays are discovered when someone finally replies to an email, days after the milestone was missed. wetrackocean watches every milestone for you.

When something slips, you get an alert with the live tracking link attached, while there is still time to rebook, reroute or warn your buyer.

  1. Proactive alerts on missed or late milestones
  2. A map view with vessel, route and shipper/consignee details
  3. Critical updates pushed straight to WhatsApp

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 September 2026. Applies to wetrackocean.com.

What this policy covers

We use this policy for two groups of people: visitors to wetrackocean.com, and professionals we correspond with in a business context. Where we process data as a service provider for a customer, the customer's own privacy notice and our agreement with that customer apply instead.

About us

wetrackocean.com is owned and operated by [Registered Company Name], which runs the WeTRACK shipment-visibility platform. References to "we" or "us" mean [Registered Company Name]. We decide why and how your personal data is processed, which makes us the controller under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

Personal data we collect

  • Business contact details: name, job title, employer, business email address, business telephone number, city and country.
  • Company information: company name, website, industry, trade lanes and publicly reported shipment activity.
  • Correspondence data: the content of emails you send us, and whether our emails to you were delivered, bounced or answered.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and time of request, recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider for security purposes.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive or special-category personal data, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

Purposes and lawful grounds

Purposes. Business outreach about our services; handling your enquiries; maintaining a do-not-contact record; security and fraud prevention; and regulatory compliance.

Grounds. For individuals covered by the GDPR: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)), limited to your professional role and always subject to your right to object; and compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). For individuals covered by the DPDP Act: publicly available data made available by you, legitimate uses permitted by the Act, and consent where required, which can be withdrawn at any time.

How we obtain it

Most of the information we hold was either provided by you or made public in a professional context: on your company's website, in a professional networking profile, in trade and customs publications, or in industry directories. We also use reputable business-data vendors that are contractually required to have collected data lawfully, and occasionally receive professional introductions.

Disclosure to others

Personal data is never sold, rented or traded. It is disclosed only to (a) vendors that process it on our behalf, such as email hosting, email-sending, CRM, data-verification and web-hosting providers, under contracts that restrict them to our instructions and require appropriate security; (b) our professional advisers; (c) public authorities when legally compelled; and (d) a buyer or successor of our business, on terms that preserve the protections in this policy.

Opting out

Every email we send tells you how to opt out. Reply with "unsubscribe" or "no", or write to privacy@wetrackocean.com, and we will stop all further outreach to that address across every domain we operate, within 10 business days and usually much sooner. We keep a minimal record (your email address and the date of your request) on a suppression list solely to make sure you are not contacted again.

How long we keep it

  • Prospect data: until you opt out, or for up to 24 months after our last meaningful interaction, whichever is earlier; then deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
  • Correspondence with customers and partners: for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting or other laws require.
  • Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, solely for security and troubleshooting.
  • Suppression list: indefinitely, limited to your email address and opt-out date, so that we can honour your request.

Security

Personal data is protected by technical and organisational measures proportionate to its sensitivity: encrypted connections, role-based access restricted to personnel who need it, unique logins with two-factor authentication, and contractual security commitments from our vendors. While no system can be guaranteed to be impenetrable, we will notify you and the competent authorities without undue delay, as required by law, if a breach affects your data.

Data location

Data may be held on servers in India, the United States, the European Union or other locations used by our processors. Every such transfer is protected by contractual safeguards recognised under the applicable law, including Standard Contractual Clauses where required, and complies with any transfer restrictions notified under the DPDP Act.

Exercising your rights

  1. Access and a copy of your data;
  2. Correction, completion and updating;
  3. Erasure;
  4. Objection, including to direct marketing at any time;
  5. Restriction of processing;
  6. Portability;
  7. Withdrawal of consent;
  8. Nomination of a representative (DPDP Act); and
  9. Grievance redressal.

Contact privacy@wetrackocean.com. Requests are free, answered within 30 days, and may require reasonable identity verification. You may escalate unresolved concerns to the Data Protection Board of India or to your local supervisory authority.

Minors

This website and our correspondence are directed at business professionals only. We do not knowingly process the personal data of children (individuals under 18). Any such data brought to our attention will be erased without delay.

Profiling

We do not carry out profiling or solely automated decision-making that would produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. The only data generated by your visit is the standard server log kept by our hosting provider for security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a material change, we will display a prominent notice on this page, and where the law requires your consent to a change, we will ask for it.
